After a busy September and October in terms of travel to begin the 2026-27 season, the Boston Bruins and second-year head coach Marco Sturm are going to get a lot of home cooking in November, with nine of the 11 games coming at the TD Garden. It will also have some former players return to the TD Garden.
Now, a lot can change over the next couple of months in terms of potential trades and some players being on the move, but as rosters are currently constructed, it could be an interesting month in terms of reunions in Boston. With that said, let's look at and break down the November schedule for the Black and Gold.
Breaking down the Bruins' November schedule
- Nov. 2: vs. Vegas Golden Knights, 7 p.m.
- Nov. 5: at Pittsburgh Penguins, 7 p.m.
- Nov. 8: vs. Florida Panthers, 1 p.m.
- Nov. 12: vs. Montreal Canadiens, 7 p.m.
- Nov. 14: vs. Minnesota Wild, 7 p.m.
- Nov. 17: vs. Los Angeles Kings, 7 p.m.
- Nov. 18: at Detroit Red Wings, 7:30 p.m.
- Nov. 21: vs. Washington Capitals, 7 p.m.
- Nov. 25: vs. Winnipeg Jets, 7 p.m.
- Nov. 27: vs. Toronto Maple Leafs, 1 p.m.
- Nov. 29: vs. Vancouver Canucks, 5 p.m.
If there is ever a month where the Bruins need to take advantage of their schedule, it's in November. They'll close out October at home on Halloween against the Chicago Blackhawks, which kicks off a string of games in Boston. The two road games are in Pittsburgh against the Penguins and in Detroit against the Red Wings and former teammate Viktor Arvidsson.
As for the home slate, it begins against the Vegas Golden Knights, the defending Western Conference champs, and then the Florida Panthers make a visit; it is unknown if Brad Marchand will play, as he will begin the season recovering from surgery. The Montreal Canadiens will also visit, along with the Minnesota Wild and Los Angeles Kings.
Superstar Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals will visit on Nov. 21, and the Winnipeg Jets follow. That means the Bruins will finish the season series with the Wild, Kings, and Jets all before American Thanksgiving. Speaking of American Thanksgiving, the Bruins have spent the night before the last couple of seasons on Long Island against the New York Islanders, but this year, they'll be home against the Jets.
The month closes with home games against the Toronto Maple Leafs before Jake DeBrusk and the Vancouver Canucks visit on Nov. 29 to close out the month. This may be crazy to say, but November could play a big role in the Bruins can banking points at home toward making the playoffs next spring.
