The Boston Bruins will face off against the Avalanche on their first road trip of the season.  The B’s will look for payback against the Av’s who embarrassed them at home.

After the disappointing loss in game two of this young season, the Boston Bruins will look to rebound in game three.  The B’s visit the Colorado Avalanche in the second game of their home and home series.  The Avalanche beat the Bruins 4-0 at the TD Garden Monday, but can Boston return the favor tonight?

This young Bruins team had their struggles last game, but they can put that behind them with a win tonight.  Coach Bruce Cassidy was not happy about the B’s effort in Monday’s loss, and he was sure to let the players know at practice Tuesday morning.  Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston tweeted:

We’ll see tonight if Bruins players truly received the message.

Schedule

The Bruins play at Colorado’s Pepsi Center tonight at 9:30 PM EST.  NESN will televise the game, and 98.5 The Sports Hub has the call on the radio.  This is the B’s third game of the season as they will look to improve on their 1-1-0 record.

What to watch for

Cassidy switched the lines around at Tuesday’s practice, hoping this new lineup can be more productive than the one that played on Monday.  The Bruins twitter account tweeted the tweaks Tuesday:

Among the changes, Danton Heinen and Ryan White were brought up to the big club, and Riley Nash was placed on the top line.

Patrice Bergeron will not be suiting up tonight, but the B’s all-star center will be in Colorado.  The Bruins are hoping Bergeron can play by the end of this road trip.

Next: Bruins new socks...good look?

Tonight marks the first game of a three game road trip out west.  Can the Bruins exact revenge on the Avalanche?  Which Bruins team will we see?  The one who beat the reigning Western Conference champions or the one that lost to the owners of the worst record in the league last year?  We’ll see tonight at 9:30.
