When it comes to Boston Bruins prospects in college this season, some names are worth keeping an eye on. The Bruins prospect pool is quietly moving up the rankings, given where it had been before, after some questionable picks.
By now, you know who the Black and Gold's top college prospects are going into the 2026-27 season, with Dean Letourneau and Will Zellers heading that list. Who are some other Bruins prospects going to college that should be worth fans keeping an eye on, not named Dean Letourneau or Will Zellers? Here are three.
Will Moore
Stop me if you've heard this before, but there is a Boston Bruins prospect playing for Greg Brown at Boston College. I know, it's shocking. James Hagens signed his entry-level deal after last season, while Andre Gasseau's rights were traded to the San Jose Sharks, and Oskar Jellvik is continuing his career overseas.
Joining Letourneau at BC is sophomore Will Moore, who was drafted in the second round of the 2025 Entry Draft. As a freshman, Moore had four goals and 10 points for the Eagles. The 6-foot-3 forward is hoping to take another step in his development this season, like Letourneau did going from his freshman to sophomore year. Moore should see a bump in the lineup for Boston College and hopefully is stats.
Ryan Walsh
In the sixth round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, the Bruins pick Ryan Walsh, who will be entering his senior season at Cornell and is looking to build on three seasons so far with the Big Red. He has 39 goals and 47 assists in three seasons.
The 6-foot-1 New York native plays a very simple game and is alert to details at all times. He had 30 goals and 49 assists in 2022-23 for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in the USHL. A captain this season for Cornell; we'll see what happens when their season ends in the spring.
Cooper Simpson
Joining Zellers at North Dakota this season will be incoming freshman Cooper Simpson, who was picked 79th overall and in the third round of the 2025 Entry Draft. He'll join a Fighting Hawks team that is looking to get back to the Frozen Four and have a different ending.
Simpson is a forward who exploded last season in the USH with the Youngstown Phantoms with 34 goals and 40 assists. He'll have to have his game translate to college, but if he can, as Zellers did as a freshman last season for North Dakota, then that is a promising sign for the future for the Bruins.
