The Boston Bruins have picked up right where they left off last regular season, having been undefeated in regulation through their first nine games with an 8-0-1 record.

Tonight, they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs in a classic battle of Original Six teams.

Bruins will win by at least two goals

Ilya Samsonov is expected to get the start for the Maple Leafs tonight, which is good news for the Bruins. Joseph Woll has been fantastic for them, but Samsonov has struggled. He has a 3.99 goals against average and an .841 save percentage through his first five games. The Bruins are going to be able to take advantage of that and run away with the win.

David Pastrnak will score a goal

David Pastrnak is tied for second in goals this season with eight, and I think he’s going to tie the lead tonight. He’s coming off a season where he recorded a career-high 61 goals, and I expect him to at least get close to that total again this year.

Once again, the he’s going to be able to take advantage of the Maple Leafs rolling with the weaker of their two goalies in Samsonov. You can bet on him to find the back of the net at -114 odds at WynnBET Sportsbook.

Bruins will be winning after the 1st period

Not only are we betting on the Bruins to cover the -1.5 puck line in this game, but I think they’re going to be winning after the 1st period as well. The Bruins have been red hot in the 1st period this season, going 7-2 on the 1st period moneyline. I see no reason why they can’t do that again tonight against the Leafs.
