Boston Bruins 2021 first-round pick Fabian Lysell turned some heads in the OHL playoffs last year when he helped his team make history as the first team to upset the top seed in the first round of the playoffs. They bowed out in the second round but people had already put Lysell on their radar.

Lysell might not have had the preseason he wanted in Boston but it was clear he belonged on the ice in the pros. The potential is there for him to be a big part of the future of this team if he can just clean up some of his game and add some muscle. The Swedish winger is still a bright young 19-year-old so he still has some growing to do, but he might be getting a call for a cup of coffee in Boston soon if he finds consistency in his game.

The young winger has played in 2 games for the Providence Bruins and has scored 4 points. 1 goal and 3 assists to help his team to a 2-0-0 start out of the gate. Lysell and the Providence Bruins look to keep their hot start going when they take on the Bridgeport Islanders on Friday.

The Bruins have started the season a little injury-riddled but they seem to be ok having started the season 3-0-0 themselves with wins over Washington, Arizona (I know), and Florida. If the Bruins come looking for someone to add scoring to the lineup, Lysell could be the one they bring in to do just that.
