Boston Bruins’ prospects playing in the Mestis and HockeyAllsvenskan:

Joona Koppanen, Forward

Koppanen was drafted by the Bruins in 2016 in the fifth round (135th-overall). He has been on loan with KOOVEE of the Mestis.

So far with KOOVEE, the 22-year-old has played in 10 games, recording 17 points (six goals and 11 assists), 10 penalty minutes, and a +4 rating. Additionally, he is currently listed on the Ilves roster of the Liiga, but has yet to play a game for them.

In 2019-20, Koppanen suited up for 43 AHL games and five ECHL games with the Atlanta Gladiators. During his time in the AHL, the young forward produced 18 points (nine goals and nine assists), 14 penalty minutes, and a rating of +7.

In the ECHL, Koppanen scored five points (one goal and four assists), with two penalty minutes and a +/- of +1.

Oskar Steen, Center

Drafted by the Bruins in the sixth round (165th-overall) in 2016, Steen is currently on loan with IF Björklöven of the HockeyAllsvenskan.

Through nine games with IF Björklöven this year, the 22-year-old has recorded five goals, eight penalty minutes, and a +7 +/-.

In 2019-20, Steen played in 60 games for the P-Bruins, scoring 23 points (seven goals and 16 assists, with 48 penalty minutes, and a +6 rating.
