Beecher and Hall, both of whom earned invites to the US preliminary roster, played well enough in camp and in exhibition games to make the final roster. They both have the opportunity to represent their country on the world stage.

John Beecher looks ready to make an impact

Beecher definitely has the higher ceiling of the two, so expect him to make a bigger impact. The Bruins drafted Beecher in the first round of the 2019 Draft.

He started this year at the University of Michigan, where he has five goals and four assists in his first 16 games. Based on everything you read, Beecher had an impressive start to his freshman season.

He carried his strong play over to the US camp, as he was one of the better forwards in the exhibition games. Beecher played on the second line both at center and left wing. Look for him to maintain this top-six role during the tournament.

Curtis Hall is one of the fastest-riser in the Bruins system

Hall doesn’t have Beecher’s first-round pedigree, but he’s been one of the fastest-risers in Boston’s system. The Bruins drafted Hall in the fourth round of the 2018 Draft, and he spent the next two years at Yale.

Hall had 31 points in his first season at Yale, and he has 11 points this year. He quickly became a top forward in the ECAC, and this was enough to earn him a call from the national team.

This will be the first time Hall represents the US at a national tournament. He played on the fourth line in exhibition games, and he picked up a goal on Sunday against Sweden. Hall will look to make a positive impact in that role throughout the tournament.

Next. Two prospects make Team USA. dark

Beecher and Hall join fellow Bruins prospect Jakub Lauko at the World Juniors. Lauko will represent the Czech Republic.

The US opens the tournament on December 26 against Canada. Beecher and Hall will likely be in the lineup in the opener.
