The Boston Bruins welcome the Florida Panthers to TD Garden; here is all of the info you need ahead of tonight’s encounter.
Hoping to address a 3 game losing skid, the Boston bruins welcome their Atlantic Division rivals to town. Florida have had their own tough run of late, losing to the Islanders on Saturday before sneaking a shoot-out victory over the Rangers on Sunday. Not exactly the way to prepare for a team hoping to shake their losing ways.
While David Pastrnak has finally (we can imagine that’s what the opposition is thinking anyway) been slowed down in the past two games, his line-mate Brad Marchand continues to come up with the goods for the Boston Bruins and no doubt will be looking to re-ignite his fellow winger’s scoring.
Marchand had two scoreless games, against Montreal and Detroit after a five-point night veruss Pittsburgh; his third period goal against Philadelphia snapped any slump, however short. The Florida Panthers, likely with Sergei Bobrovsky in net should provide a stiff test for him.

The Boston Bruins have had some injury woes of late and it seems likely that they’ll not be welcoming Jake Debrusk back into the fold just yet.
Perhaps the bigger concern is that the team’s top scoring defenseman will miss the game. NHL.com reported today that Torey Krug will miss the clash with an upper-body injury having left the ice during the Bruins’ clash with Detroit. Urho Vaakaineinen has been called up from the American Hockey League, potentially to fill in for him, though that job could also fall to Steven Kampfer.
David Backes and Brett Ritchie also remain out of contention, with neither player practising with the team recently. Neither will feature against the Panthers either.
Beyond them, it’s only the long-term concerns with Kevan Miller (though he is now back practising in a regular jersey), John Moore and Karson Kuhlman that rate as highly limited chances in terms of getting back in the line-up anytime soon.
With any luck, the Boston Bruins can turn around this downturn in their recent form on Tuesday night, against a Panthers team that has had to work hard for results of late with 2 of their last 3 victories having required over-time or a shoot-out.
BRUINS BETTINGS ODDS & LINES
Courtesy of The Action Network, the Bruins are -165 on the Moneyline. This is likely due to the fact that the Boston Bruins, in people’s minds, having the strength especially on their top-line to turn around a three-game losing streak.
The Panthers, meanwhile, are coming off two tough encounters versus New York sides, an extended Sunday game with their encounter with the Rangers going to a shoot-out and are likely to be a little fatigued. As such, it’s no surprise the Bruins are early favourites.
