The Boston Bruins have started the regular season in a 3-0 fashion. That´s encouraging news for the Bruins faithful. Last night, we have had a special game displayed. The Bruins visited Las Vegas to face the Golden Knights of what should be their lone visit to the Sin City this season.

As it seems now, the Boston Bruins might make yet another trip to Vegas later this season. You probably already know where am I heading. The only way how the Bruins can come down to Vegas and face the Golden Knights this season is to meet them in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Golden Knights reinforced big-time last year. The acquisitions of Mark Stone, Max Pacioretty, and Paul Stastny could provide a large difference in the Western Conference tilt. Last season, the Golden Knights blew a 3-1 series lead to the San Jose Sharks.

Nevertheless, the Golden Knights felt like it was heavily underserving for them to end the season in that way. Now it’s their chance to correct it all and do better the next time around. The Golden Knights are the projected best Western Conference team.

Last night, the Bruins could have seen a little bit of that. The Golden Knights grabbed an early 2-0 lead. The Boston Bruins responded with a big 10-minute sequence separated by the first intermission, in which they erupted for four goals largely thanks to Brad Marchand and his three points. Since then, until like five minutes to go in the game, the Bruins dominated the contest.

However, the Golden Knights responded with some late drama. Despite their late push, the Bruins snagged a regulation win. If the Bruins were to return to face the Vegas Golden Knights later in June in the Stanley Cup Final, it would undoubtedly be one heck of the series.

The Bruins run into the heavy Blues, who tried to play physically. The Golden Knights can be physical as well, especially having a player like Ryan Reaves, but it’s not their top-notch priority. If that Cup Final between these two squads happens in June, probably nobody will give much attention to the tilt from Tuesday at T-Mobile Arena. I would take a Vegas-Boston Stanley Cup Final anytime.
