The Boston Bruins announced their preliminary roster and the start of the training camp yesterday.
The Boston Bruins are preparing to kick off the 2016-2017 season today. The Black and Gold have spent the last two seasons as the last team to be eliminated from the postseason. The Bruins certainly don’t want to repeat that dubious honor for a third year in a row.
The training schedule kicks off today at their new Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton. Today, the Bruins will be going through off-ice training. If you’ve ever watched ‘Behind the B’, then you know the Bruins coaching staff will be putting the players through their first bout of conditioning. They’ll have to lift weights, engage in pull ups, and the one event all the players seem to hate, the shuttle run.
Starting on Friday, September 23, all the training camp practices will be open to the public. Try to get there early, because the doors will open at 10:15 a.m., and it is first come, first serve seating.
Below is the complete roster of all players that are coming to participate in this year’s camp.

Some of these players are already on the team, barring a last-minute trade or injury. Some will be using this as an extra few days of development and training before they head back to college or the minors. A few of these players are on the edge of making the squad and have a real opportunity to show what they can do in front of the Bruins front office and coaching staff.
