There will be open spots on the roster this season. This will be the first chance for the prospects this season to earn a place on the roster.
The Bruins have six defensemen at the moment. It’s very likely that two or more of the players playing for spots on the blueline will be invited to training camp. (Carlo and Grzelcyk seem to be the favorites at the moment, but their have been plenty of surprises over the last decade.)
There has been a lot of ‘odd’ talk going on about the trading/moving regarding Malcolm Subban. (‘Odd’ is the nice way of saying ‘BS’.) With the signing of Anton Khudobin to the number two slot in Boston, it looks like Subban will spend another year in Providence.
With the 2016 Draft picks coming to town the fans will now get their first impression of Don Sweeney’s latest picks. Hopefully, they’ll live up to the bill.
