Boston Bruins: Less Than Four Months Until Pre-Season Starts For 2016-17 Season
The Boston Bruins released their 2016 pre-season schedule yesterday, and the good news for hockey fans is that you have less than four months to wait until they drop the puck. The team also released their preliminary schedule for their 2016 Rookie Camp, which begins on Thursday, September 15, and their 2016 Training Camp , which begins on Thursday, September 22. The full rookie camp and training camp rosters, practice times and locations will be announced at a later date. Keep in mind, this is also the year the Bruins are supposed to open their new practice facility, Warrior Ice Arena, in Brighton.

The trip to Quebec City in early October should be of interest, as there have been many rumors that the Quebecois would love to have a team back there. They have a brand new 18,259-seat arena and a fan base that is salivating at the prospect of a return to the NHL. Unfortunately, a weak Canadian dollar stands in the way of prospective ownership group Quebecor and its effort to land Quebec City its first NHL team since the Nordiques packed up and relocated to Denver, Colorado, in 1995. Also not helping is the fact that Las Vegas seems primed to be the next expansion city to get an NHL.

None of this will matter to Bruins fans on October 4, though, when the Black & Gold face off against the Montreal Canadiens. The rivalry will live on, regardless of the city or the arena that those two teams meet in.
