On the quest for a winning record, the Boston Bruins will have a chance to do just that, facing off against two Eastern Conference teams this week. It seems to be a curse lately that whenever the Bruins find their swagger they end up going through a long period of time before they play their next game. With a three day gap in between their latest win against the Arizona Coyotes and their next game against the Philadelphia Flyers, one may wonder how much of their improved play will transfer into the upcoming games.

Bruins v Flyers
These games are always fun to watch for their hits and high scoring. However, this time, the Bruins and Flyers series has a bit more plot. Zac Rinaldo was despised by the Boston Bruins fans and management whenever they faced off against the Flyers. Now, fans are hoping that the Philadelphia Flyers will get a taste of what they were giving out for years. I am by no means encouraging Zac Rinaldo to go back to his Philadelphia ways, but it can be argued that their will be a lot more bark, and bite, to his game in this matchup.

With the Bruins returning home after winning twice on the road, the fans will be extra pumped to see their team try to earn their first home victory. The first home win is already long overdue, so I am saying that the Bruins will win this game, with a score of 4 to 2. For an added bonus, I will say that Zac Rinaldo will register a point as well.

Bruins v Islanders
This game is going to be a grind. The New York Islanders are in the process of proving to the league that they are a legitimate contender in the Eastern Conference and that last year was no fluke. The Boston Bruins are very different, in that they are trying to prove to the league that they are still legitimate contenders and that last year was a fluke. The clash will be very even and will result in a very close and entertaining game. I believe, in this matchup, the Boston Bruins will finally see regular season 3 on 3 overtime. However, the Bruins will not be able to cash in during the 3 on 3 and will lose to the Islanders 3 to 2, via shootout
I expect Tuukka Rask to get both starts unless he is the reason the Bruins lose against Philadelphia and I also expect the healthy scratches to remain the same until the Bruins lose. With every win as important as the next, the Bruins cannot afford to change their lineup if things are going well. If these games go as I predict they will, the Boston Bruins will have a record of 3-3-1. Considering the awful start they had to the regular season, I would be very content if this were to come true.
