Boston will keep a close eye on all 10 of their 2015 draft stocks, most notably the first rounders. Jakub Zboril, Jake DeBrusk, and Zach Senyshyn all enter camp with copious amounts of weight on their shoulders. These are the prospects that are paced to make the varsity squad in several years. They enter camp with high expectations from not only themselves, but team management.
That includes general manager Don Sweeney, who orchestrated the draft and all the logistics that encompass it. He picked the two wingers and defenseman for a reason in the draft’s initial round, and he expects them to enter camp with intensity and hunger. Hunger to improve and hungry to prove their worth.
The rookies also travel to Buffalo. There, they’ll enter a round-robin tournament against the Sabres’ and Devils’ rookies. The first matchup takes place Sunday, Sept. 13th against the Devils, followed by the Sabres on Monday, Sept. 14th.
There is still a long road ahead of the Bruins leading up the regular-season opener on Oct. 8th against the Winnipeg Jets at home in Boston. There is still the preseason, which kicks off Sept. 20th against New Jersey at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence.
