Part two of this Bruins by the numbers series will finish off the count from 41 to 92. No Boston Bruin has ever worn a number over 92 in a regular season game, and many of the numbers in this range have gone unused. Some difficult choices here since some numbers have not been worn by stars or even solid players. Let’s take a look at how I shook it all out!
Allison was the top threat on offense for the Boston Bruins in the late 90’s. He was the leader in points in 1997, 1998, and 1999.
42 Bob Sweeney
Along with team’s two trips to the Stanley Cup Finals were two 22 goal seasons for the local product in 1987 and 1989.
43 Al Iafrate
Iafrate finished the 1993 campaign in Boston where he totaled 13 points in 12 home-stretch games, then added three goals and an assist over 12 playoff outings.
Seidenberg was another key piece of the puzzle for the Bruins’ 2011 championship run.
45 Mark Stuart
Until he was traded to Atlanta, the s blueliner garnered 13 goals, 40 points and a plus-37 in 283 outings with the Bruins.
46 David Krejci
Krejci has become the top playmaker and scorer on this Boston Bruins team. He has the chance to cement his Bruins legacy in stone in the next few years.
47 Torey Krug
Very little competition for 47, and Krug has shown that he has a lot of upside.
48 Matt Hunwick
Hunwick came up from Providence permanently in October 2008 and contributed to Boston’s surge from eighth place the year prior to the summit of the Eastern Conference. He is the only Bruin to wear 48 for more than two seasons.
In his three seasons in Boston Peverley had 67 points in 127 games.
50 Chris Taylor
Taylor had 11 points in 37 Boston Bruins games, more points than any other number 50 in black and gold.
Kovalenko placed sixth on the scoring chart during his lone season with the Bruins in 2000-01.
52 Carl Corrazzini
It was either Corazzini, who had two goals during a 12-game stint in 2003, or Zach Hamill, the former first-round draft choice who sprinkled four assists over 20.
53 Derek Morris
Morris wins this battle with 22 assists and 25 points over 58 games during his stay for part of the 2009 campaign.
54 Adam McQuaid
McQuaid was another key cog in the machine of the 2011 Boston Bruins, and is looking to bring another championship to the city during the time of his newly signed contract extension.
The black and gold really miss having 55 on the back end. His contributions will not be forgotten around Boston.
56 Darren Banks
In 20 just NHL games Banks accrued four points
57 Antii Laaksonen
Laaksonen, a Providence main stay, filled in at the NHL level with 12 points in 38 games for two years before being nabbed by the expansion Minnesota Wild.
Not many options here, congrats Carter.
59 Rich Brennan
Well, no one else has ever worn 59 for the Boston Bruins in a regular season game.
Sobotka scored just six goals for Boston over parts of three seasons before moving on to St. Louis and eventually the KHL.
61 Byron Bitz
Between his call-up in 2008 and his trade to Florida in 2009 he tallied an 8-8-16 line in 80 regular-season twirls and two points in five playoff games.
62 Milan Lucic
For the first 10 games of his rookie season Lucic wore 62. Before switching to 17 he collected a Gordie Howe hat trick in Los Angeles in his fourth career game.
Nose face killah! His scrappy play has been critical on the ice for Boston!
Kultanen’s 13 points in 102 games-make him the best of the Boston Bruins number 64’s.
In 44 games Harkins tallied 18 points on a dreadful 1996 Bruins team.
Pouliot spent just one season in Boston after coming over from the hated Candiens. In 2011 he totaled 16 goals and assists each.
68 Jaromir Jagr
No one can beat the Jagr mullet. No one.
70 Tim Thomas
Yes, Tim Thomas did indeed start off in 70 before his magical Stanley Cup run made his 30 the stuff of legends around Boston.
71 Jiri Slegr
Slegr finished his career with nine goals and 26 assists over 68 appearances in Boston and beats some fairly easy competition in Terry Virtue for this spot.
Schaefer’s 26 points in 2007 helped propel the Bruiks back into the playoffs!
Ryder was a solid winger for three seasons in Boston and helped the team lift that 2011 cup.
74 Paul Coffey
The Hall of Fame blueliner ended his career with 18 games in Boston in 2000.
75 Colton Orr
Orr is the only Bruin to wear 75 in the regular season, and did so over his first 21 NHL games.
Only three points in 23 Boston Bruins games, no competition for 76.
77 Ray Bourque
Legendary. Need anything more than that? Bourque is the longest serving captain in Boston Bruins history.
79 – David Warsofsky
Another number to be occupied by only one Bruin all time.
81 Phil Kessel
Oh Phil, we never really missed you, but he is the greatest 81 in Bruins history.
83 Pat Leahy
Leahy played the better part of the 2005 season with the Boston Bruins after being a Providence mainstay.
86 Kevan Miller

Miller has the potential to claim 86 outright.

Blatny wore 89 for five Bruins games, the only player to sport the number.
91 Marc Savard
What could have been, Savard was a potential stud on the rise before his injuries caught up to him.
It’s either Nylander, who tallied 12 points over a 15-game stint in 2003, or Guillaume Lefebvre, who had a one-game call-up from Providence in 2009.
