Tonight at 7pm EST, the Boston Bruins will welcome the trailing Florida Panthers to the Garden for their third matchup of the season. Currently sitting four points behind the B’s, the Panthers will be looking to take the game in regulation to get closer to a playoff spot. The Bruins will have to play deep in all three zones in order to take the two points and stretch their lead even more.

So far, the Bruins-Panther series for the season is tied at a game apiece. The first game, the B’s came out on top 2-1 with an OT victory. The second game didn’t have the same positive outcome. Just a little over a week ago, the Panthers topped the Bruins 2-1 in a SO loss, which led the Bruins to a few more heartbreaking losses and a six-game losing streak. Not to mention, Dougie Hamilton is out indefinitely due to an upperbody injury sustained during the game. It is a not-so-distant memory that the B’s would like to forget.
Winning the last two games, the B’s have secured their spot in the second wild card position, sitting three points ahead of the Ottawa Senators. Taking every point is vital for making it into the postseason. Both teams are currently fighting for their lives and will be pulling out all the stops in this game. The two teams will meet again on April 9th in Florida.
