“I thought I played with a lot more confidence from the beginning, definitely getting the first game under my belt was huge, so I thought we played well as a line and I thought we played really good as a team overall, so hopefully we can just keep it going and go home here and just keep building.” – Brian Ferlin
One surprising aspect that was highlighted during their win against the Blackhawks were the players that were recently brought up from Providence. Brian Ferlin notched his first NHL point, an assist in the Gregory Campbell goal. Although he only had a little over seven minutes of play, Ferlin showed that he had some great potential and could help bring the Bruins to a win. Ryan Spooner, who had been brought back up due to an injury to David Krejci, was a positive addition to the game. He made a few mistakes early on, but turned his game around, tallied a point and had four shots on goal. Having Spooner’s speed was also an added plus against a very fast Chicago team.
With a tough game coming up on Tuesday against the Vancouver Canucks, let’s hope that the win against the Blackhawks has given the Bruins some confidence, passion and energy to keep the production and positive effort going.
