By now I am sure all of you have looked out your windows and sighed, knowing that you have to go find your shovel, get all dressed up like a snow ninja to clean up your stairs and driveway because Snowmageddon has arrived.
Snowmageddon has shut down many states along the East Coast six of them declaring state of emergencies overnight as snow began to fly. Officials have halted trains from New York to Boston, cancelled nearly 6,500 flights across the region and placed over a dozen driving bans from Boston to Connecticut, halting any sort of travel.
Boston was expected to get between 2 and 3 feet of snow, with the National Weather Service calling for blizzard-effects spanning over 250 miles up the East Coast.

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker warned residents to prepare for roads that are “very hard, if not impossible, to navigate,” power outages and a lack of public transportation. Wind gusts of 75 mph or more were possible for coastal areas of Massachusetts, and up to 50 mph farther inland, forecasters said.
This morning, the National Weather Service officials in Boston reported winds of up to 100km/h at Nantucket memorial airport.

With the expectations high, Gov. Baker placed a travelling ban, urging people to stay off of the roads and remain inside. Failure to abide the travel ban on all non-essential vehicles will carry a fine up to $500 dollars or a year in jail, reported CBS Boston.*
Naturally, on a snow day like this, we all would love some hockey to watch or, for us here at Causeway Crowd, write about. However, due to the circumstances of Mother Nature working her white and windy magic outside, the Boston Bruins have cancelled their morning practice. The last time the Bruins cancelled practice was in April of 2013 as the manhunt for the Tsarnaev went on with the entire state on a lock down.
The Boston Bruins will (hopefully) return to action tomorrow, taking part in a morning skate to gear up and get ready for their game against the New York Islanders Thursday night.
*This is the first time that a Massachusetts governor has issued an executive order such as this since a blizzard in 1978.
