Tonight the Boston Bruins are hopeful to instill another win streak as they face off against the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center. They are playing in their second half of back-to-back games, coming off of a gritty 3-1 victory against the Dallas Stars last night.

Currently the Boston Bruins sit in a Wild Card position for a playoff spot and every win from here on out is crucial if they plan on making any run at the Stanley Cup.

Brad Marchand returns to action tonight for the Bs and is hopeful that he will bring some added energy to the team after missing the past two due to a suspension for slew-footing.

“We want to make sure that we leave it all out on the ice. We have a few days off here afterwards, and we want to finish on a good note, so hopefully I have a little more energy than normal and can help the team in any way possible.” Marchand told reporters after an optional morning skate.

After tonight’s game the Bruins have a little break for the All-Star festivities and then are right back in action for a tough 5-game stretch that has them facing the Islanders twice, Rangers, Kings and rival Montreal Canadiens.  Here are the viewing options you have for tonight’s game:

Bold Prediction:

While both the teams are hungry and desperate in their own ways for victory tonight, I’m making the bold prediction to say the Bruins even the series and take tonight’s game by two goals, a final 4-2 score. Here’s why:

The Boston Bruins gain Brad Marchand who is going to have the extra pep in his step and be looking for any chance to redeem himself. It is at this point in a season that he is usually riding a hot streak. (This time last year, Marchand held 6 of the Bruins 12 goals they had scored in a combined 4 games.) They also have a hot line with Chris Kelly, Carl Soderberg and Loui Eriksson that helped win them a game in Dallas last night and has been a driving force for offense in their recent victories.
