Overtime
Boston Bruins opt to put 3 forwards and one defenseman on the ice to start the extra period. They go with the PBR line and Hamilton on the back end. Marchand comes out and fires a shot on Bernier which he’s able to make a save on. Leafs go with Tyler Bozak, Phil Kessel, Cody Franson and Dion Phaneuf. Milan Lucic with a fake shot-pass to Seth Griffith that was unable to connect, a very nice attempt for the Bruins though. Next shift Patrice Bergeron is able to get near the slot with a wrap-around attempt that Bernier is able to shut down once more as two minutes remain. Chris Kelly keeps the Bruins in the game as he gets the back pressure to create a turnover and force the momentum to go back in the Bruins favor with a minute and a half left. Zdeno Chara put a blast on Bernier with just under a minute remaining that he was able to save and halt the play. Despite keeping the pressure for the entire overtime period the Bruins end up needing a shootout for the final decision.
