Tonight the Boston Bruins were set to take on the Winnipeg Jets for a matinee game, but the schedule has since changed. Instead the Bruins will be hosting Wheeler and company at 7:00PM.
The Bruins are fresh off of an overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, despite putting forward a strong, collectively solid effort. As Andrew mentioned in his post earlier, the Bruins will be sporting some new lines for tomorrow’s game. Lines that should look something like this:
Marchand – Bergeron – Pastrnak
Fraser/Griffith – Kelly- Smith
Lucic – Soderberg-Eriksson
Gagne – Campbell – Paille

Mind you, these lines will remain in tact should Chris Kelly be good to go, he still needs to have medical clearance from the doctors before he is eligible to participate in the game. However, Claude Julien remained positive about the forward re-joining and mentioned how they would benefit from having him back stating;
“The energy; the commitment; he likes to keep the team accountable.”
The Bruins will be looking for a bounce-back win after dropping their last two games to the Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburgh Penguins. However, tonight’s opponent won’t be an easy feat. The Jets are looking for their third straight road victory after defeating the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 Wednesday night.

The Game Plan
Tonight the Bruins need to put forward the same type of effort as they did against the Penguins. They played collectively and put forward a full sixty minute effort, something that they have only showed glimpses of this season. Despite the rocky start, they seem to be coming around and generating some sort of chemistry among the lines, regardless of them ever changing.
With David Pastrnak being placed alongside Marchand and Bergeron, we can assume that there will be a lot of speed generated along that top line. Given Marchand’s ability to break out of the neutral zone, especially on shorthanded breakaways, adding the talent and speed of Pastrnak is only going to add more depth to that line and their ability to succeed.
With the new-look lines, return of Griffith and potentially Kelly, the Bruins should be in good shape to take back their winning form, starting with the Jets.
