The Boston Bruins are a team that are deeply involved in local charities. The Black and Gold often make trips out to local hospitals to spread goodwill and let the younger fans of the B’s meet their favorite players. Last year, Dougie Hamilton was dressed as a very large baby. This year, he and other Bruins out did themselves. This time around, half a dozen of the B’s went out dressed as the cast of Disney’s Frozen.
Oh no, I’m serious.
If you’ve never seen the movie, here’s a quick run down of the cast of charachters. Kevan Miller is Kristoff, and Seth Griffith is Hans, the two characters who vie for the heart of Princess Anna, (who Matt Fraser is dressed as). Matt Bartkowski is Sven the Reindeer, Torey Krug is Olaf the Snowman, and Dougie Hamilton is Queen Elsa.

“They love it. It’s a very popular movie, my niece loved the movie, always sings ‘Let It Go’ so it’s a very popular thing, and makes them happy so that’s the most important thing.” – Bruins defenseman Torey Krug
Once again, Dougie Hamilton stole the show for the Bruins. He shared his love of the movie with the Boston Bruins homepage and how he didn’t mind dressing up for the B’s young fans. “We’re all fans of it,” said Hamilton. “I’ve seen the movie and I’m a fan so I’m not going to lie about that. So it’s fun to be able to be something that’s popular and they all know it, and make them smile, so it’s all about fun.”

Torey Krug seemed extremely comfortable in his Olaf costume. He happily belted out the songs as he made the tour around the hospital. (Other Bruins were said to have joined in at times.) He talked about how important it was to go out and share his time with people. “It’s really important,” said Krug. “These are tough times for these families and any temporary relief you can give them is definitely beneficial. It’s fun, you walk into the rooms, you see the smiles on their faces, and it’s a good thing for sure.”
The photos have already gone viral. The Boston Bruins have once again showed their fans (and the world) just what good sports they are for their fans.
