The Boston Bruins have decided upon their preferred list of prospects who will be attending this year’s rookie camp. There are twenty two players on this years’ roster. Among the players on the roster, are the Bruins first picks in the last three NHL Entry Drafts. (David Pastrnak – forward (2014), Linus Arnesson – defenseman (2013) and Malcolm Subban- goaltender (2012). Ten of the players are attending camp on a tryout basis.

The twenty two prospects run the gambit from players with AHL and OHL experience, to college students, and a little of everything in between. Of the prospects, twelve of them are in the Bruins system, and ten have been invited to the camp on a tryout basis. Matt Lindblad is the only player at camp who has any NHL experience (He played in two games for the Boston Bruins last season).
This year’s annual rookie camp is scheduled to start at Ristuccia Arena on September 11th. After a few days of fundamentals, the Bruins then will be heading off with the prospects to Tennessee. Once there, the prospect team will scrimmage against other rookie and prospect teams from the Nashville Predators, Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning. It will be a great chance for the invited players to see the Bruins system up close, and another chance for the more experienced players to remember the ropes.
Puck Prose
The possibility of any of the players on the rookie roster making the team this year is rather slim. There is a definite possibility that some of the attendees (especially the AHL Bruins players) will get to play a game or more for Boston. Seth Griffith and Anthony Camara had good seasons as forwards in Providence, as did Chris Casto on the blueline, and Malcolm Subban in the crease.
Here is the full roster for this year’s camp. (Players invited on tryout basis are in italics)

Defensemen: Linus Arnesson, Bryce Aneloski, Mickael Beauregard, Chris Casto, Lee Moffie, Frankie Simonelli, Mike Young
