Jarome Iginla Probably Done
We all knew this was coming. GM Peter Chiarelli essentially confirmed multiple reports that stated Jarome Iginla would be moving on from the Boston Bruins.

“My guess is that he’s going to test the market,” Chiarelli told the Bruins on Tuesday, via Joe MacDonald of ESPN Boston. “He wants a little more term and normally I don’t comment on negotiations but Jarome’s been really good for us and if we don’t have him back I wish him well.”
Just based on what’s left in the salary cap, signing Iginla just wasn’t realistic, as the B’s would’ve had to pull of some magic trading players to free up space.
Many teams are interested in Iginla, the Detroit Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche, Vancouver Canucks and Minnesota Wild amongst them. Although he wants to win a Stanley Cup before retirement, his salary requirements will be matched with these squads, or perhaps exceeded, after his spectacular 30-goal, 61-point season.
