Vegas Odds Liking the Bruins

The Los Angeles Kings just sealed themselves as Stanley Cup champions this season, but that doesn’t meant the Boston Bruins aren’t favorites for a Stanley Cup next year.

According to VegasInsider.com, the Bruins have the best odds (8:1), tied with the Chicago Blackhawks, to win it all in 2015. Obviously, one can’t make very accurate predictions right now, considering the fact that  NHL free agency hasn’t even started yet, but it’s still intriguing to see where the money presently lingers.

The Kings sit in the third spot, knotted with the Pittsburgh Penguins and St. Louis Blues at 12:1 odds. Despite representing the East in the Stanley Cup finals, the New York Rangers stand even farther behind LA, in 12th place.

The Montreal Canadiens, who eliminated the Bruins in the Eastern Conference semifinals about a month ago, are ranked 10th (18:1 odds).

At the bottom of the table, the Calgary Flames, Nashville Predators and Buffalo Sabres all exist at 100:1. The Edmonton Oilers finished this regular season in the Western Conference’s last place, but will supposedly have better luck down the road, the 18th best team in 2015, Vegas believes.

Here’s the complete list of NHL teams–favorites, middle men, and long shots to snag the Cup in ’15.
