Starting off, here’s a little Bruins commercial that should get you just a little bit more fired up for Game One of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The Bruins will be doing all they can to bring Lord Stanley back to Boston. (Boston Bruins)

Here’s the final preview from the standpoint of the Red Wings. They’re happy to be in the Eastern Conference, they’re happy they are competitive, they’re super psyched that this is their twenty third consecutive playoff run, and their almost happy that they are taking on the Boston Bruins. (Detroit Red Wings)

It looks like the Bruins will be down a few players going into tomorrow night’s game against the Detroit Red Wings. Chris Kelly and Daniel Paille were out of the line up in today’s practice. Kelly’s back injury likely means he’ll be out, and Paille is going through concussion protocols that will likely keep him down as well. We should expect an emergency call notice for Justin Florek or Ryan Spooner any second now. (CSNNE)

The Montreal Canadiens squeaked past the Tampa Bay Lightning last night in a 5-4 overtime finish. This time around it was Dale Weise who saved the Habs bacon, even though they outshot the Lightning 44-25. The play was a little sloppy on both sides, especially around the Tampa blueline. Both teams will tighten up for what will be an intense game two in Florida. (Toronto Sun)

The Columbus Blue Jackets certainly surprised the Pittsburgh Penguins in their narrow 4-3 loss last night. They also had some defensive problems, but were able to take on Sidney Crosby and company and certainly earned a moral victory in game one of their series. That’s not good enough for Columbus head coach Todd Richards. He wants a win on their terms. (Pro Hockey Talk)

The NHL released the names of the top twenty five selling jerseys, and thankfully two of the Black and Gold were among them. Check out who finished 11th and who finished 13th here: (NESN)
