What goes around comes around. Vancouver Canucks’ Alex Burrows who rose to local infamy after trying to digest Patrice Bergeron’s finger in the Stanley Cup Final is out indefinitely with a broken jaw courtesy of his teammate Chris Tanev. Tanev was trying to clear the puck out of the defensive zone when he rifled a shot that connected with Burrows. (You know, somewhere in Boston, Bergy’s finger is tapping out in morse code ‘K-A-R-M-A’. Watch the hit and read about the hit here: (Pro Hockey Talk)

Boston Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs has helped to start Cancer Nutrition Consortium. It’s a program that helps those battling cancer back their current regimen with an eating plan that will reinforce a patient as they undergo radiation, chemotherapy, etc. Read about what the organization is and their plans here. The Bruins are gearing up for their latest roadtrip. That trip will include a Thursday night game against the Montreal Canadiens. The Bruins will ned to stay focused if they want to keep their lead in the Atlantic and the East. Read what they’re doing and where they are going here. (CSNNE) Also from Joe Haggerty, he shows how Jarome Iginla sees this bitter rivalry and how excited he is to be part of one of the biggest feuds since the Hatfields and the McCoys. (CSNNE)

It looks like the ‘Great One’ Wayne Gretzky is about to come into a rather substantial windfall. These millions are part of a settlement from when Gretzky was coach (and part owner) of the Phoenix Coyotes. When the Coyotes went bankrupt, the remaining owners chose not to pay him. It looks like the NHL will be paying him somewhere between seven and eight million dollars. It’s not like he’s hurting for cash, but I’m glad to see Gretzky get was he was owed. (Puck Daddy)
