Yes, I’m sure the first thing you thought of was that Tyler Seguin was in *that* kind of trouble. As a former resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, I can attest that a twenty one year old with millions of dollars can find all sorts of adventure and excitement(not to mention trouble) in that amazing place.  Alas, Tyler Seguin has been a good boy in that regard. He is however, becoming rather injury prone as of late, and one has to wonder if this just one more thing Peter Chiarelli saw in his crystal ball when he made to call to Dallas last July.

Seguin, the Bruins leading scorer two seasons ago has been suffering from concussion like symptoms. He is currently leading the Stars with twelve goals, and is second in overall scoring with twenty three points. The hit apparently came during the match against the Chicago Blackhawks. Just before that, he had been not attending practice due to some form of muscle strain. While the injuries do not appear to be linked, this is just bad timing for Seguin. He had avoided the injury bug that had bitten so many other Bruins in his three years there. (It was those injuries that led him to have such a great post-season debut during the Bruins Stanley Cup run in 2011.)

“He’s day-to-day with concussion-like symptoms,” told head coach Lindy Ruff to the Dallas Morning News. “Earlier in the week, there was a muscle strain that we kept him off the ice for, but these two incidents are not related. It was just a hit that didn’t seem like too much, but just caught him right, and he wasn’t feeling good the next morning.” Seguin is expected to travel with the team, and there have been no further updates on his condition or his status to play.
