Bruins morning skate cancelled, unusure of tonight’s game.

The city of Boston is currently in lockdown as local, state, federal, and military units are looking for “suspect # 2” in the Boston Marathon bombings. The Boston Bruins and the Pittsburgh Penguins cancelled their morning skate. As of now, the National Hockey League has made no final decision on the status of tonight’s game.

This information I got from former Bruin Lyndon Byers from his Facebook account:

“Due to today’s heightened security in Boston, we are taking direction from from state and local officials, and do not have any updates on tonight’s Bruins/Penguins game as of 12:00 noon. We will update accordingly as soon as possible. We are taking direction from our state & local officials, do not have any updates on tonight’s game as of 12 noon .”

The Bruins have also postponed the sale of playoff tickets at the box office. The tickets were supposed to be available this morning, but now they won’t be on sale until Monday.
