Not sure why it has taken over a month for this to happen, but the Boston Bruins Stanley Cup DVD will premiere tomorrow night and will be available for purchase beginning on Tuesday morning.
Members of the Bruins organization will take part in a series of events to promote the DVD. The first such event will be the premiere Monday night at the AMC Loews Boston Common theaters (Tremont Street). Team president Cam Neely will join players Andrew Ference, Brad Marchand, and Shawn Thornton at the screening, which begins at 7 p.m. The “Red Carpet” arrivals will begin at 6 p.m. Not sure who will participate in that other than the four Bruins’ members, but if you want to get there early, you can witness a red carpet I suppose.
If fans are in a rush to get the DVD, there is a midnight to 2 a.m. event ay Best Buy on Arsenal Street in Watertown. Marchand will take a break from his busy party schedule to attend that event.
There are two more events on Tuesday. The first occurring from noon to 2 p.m. at the Stop n Shop on Great Road in Bedford with Ference; and the second with Neely at Modell’s on Fellsway Plaza in Medford from 6 to 8 p.m.
The final special event will occur on Wednesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. with Thornton at Dick’s porting Goods at the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers.
Ference, Marchand, Neely and Thornton will sign purchased copies of the DVDs at each event, but will only sign copies of the DVD and not other memorabilia.
The DVD includes extensive footage from the playoff run as well as many extra and costs $24.98. The Blu-Ray/DVD combination pack costs $34.99 and includes BD-Live with downloadable content, streaming information updates, and expanded bonus features.
