Third period thoughts …
- The Bruins cannot sit on the lead. I said it after the second period: keep forechecking, keep pressing. Instead, they tried to sit on the lead
- Michael Ryder has played a great game tonight. I have him for Boston for the OT game-winner
- Adam McQuaid asked Alex Burrows if he was going to bite him
- Surprised Maxim Lapierre did not revert back to his Montreal days and flop after sticking his finger in Patrice Bergeron’s face. He denigrates the game – let’s see him try that with Chara or Thornton or Campbell or Ference and see what happens
- Boston needs this game – this would be a huge momentum swing for them
- That being said, if Vancouver wins, the Bruins are in serious trouble
- Tim Thomas has played great
- Nathan Horton has three game-winning goals — does he have another in him?
- The Red Sox won in extra innings after blowing a lead; can the Bruins do it now?
- David Krejci has been terrible in the defensive zone. His turnovers have been killing the Bruins. Let’s hope it does not lead to an OT goal
- The Bruins need to keep being physical
- OT winner will be Ryder or Ryan Kesler, who has been largely invisble
