David Krejci is going to be out for the remainder of the playoffs due to a dislocated wrist that he suffered in last night’s game.
This is a huge blow for the Bruins going forward. Despite being up 3-0 in their series with the Flyers, this could definitely haunt them at some point. There’s now a huge hole in the Bruins lineup, and it makes Savard’s return that much more important. Head Coach Claude Julien will once again be forced to shuffle his lines around in a major way.
Krejci had an off-year in comparison to last season’s offensive explosion, but he has such a knack for making everyone around him better and he has been extremely valuable in the postseason thus far. He had 17 goals and 35 assists in his 79 regular season games, and 4 goals and 4 assists in his 9 playoff games thus far.
