Savard skated for the second consecutive day earlier today, and then followed up by passing the much-anticipated neuropsychological testing that he underwent.
I don’t think people should begin to jump the gun here. After all, the psych. test basically consisted of Savard choosing correct numbers and colors. Skating in an NHL playoff game is a whole different story. But Savard is clearly focusing on getting back into game shape, both physically and mentally, and one can’t help but hope.
As of now, it is still unclear if and when Savard will return. While I’m sure B’s fans are hoping he can return in this series, I still see that as unlikely. If the Bruins do advance, however, I would not be totally surprised to see Savard back on the ice. For now though, the Bruins should and will remain cautious, just as they did when rumors began to swirl about a potential Patrice Bergeron return in the playoffs two seasons ago.
