When it comes to the Boston Bruins and the 2026-27 season, there are a lot of unknowns. The roster feels like it is incomplete, but if it is complete for training camp, then it could be a long season for the Black and Gold.

However, as there is with every season, there are some members of the Bruins who are going to enter the season with the chance to reach some possible milestones, and for the most part, in this article, we'll focus on two players who could set personal milestones, and then we'll have an honorable mention at the end.
Charlie McAvoy: 600 games played, 300 assists, and 400 points with the Bruins
First and foremost, Charlie McAvoy is suspended for the first six games of the season for his slash in Game 6 of the first-round playoff series against the Buffalo Sabres last May. However, if he can avoid injuries that have piled up over the last couple of seasons, then there are three milestones he could surpass this season.
McAvoy is 27 games away from playing in his 600th game for the Black and Gold, 10 assists away from 300, and 39 points away from 400 in his career. All of those are certainly attainable for the former Boston University defenseman. The Bruins are going to try to keep their head above water while McAvoy is suspended for the first six games.
Jeremy Swayman: 300 games played
So this one could come right down to the very end of the season. Remember, the NHL is going to have an 84-game schedule this season, and Swayman, who was ranked fifth on the NHL Network's top 10 goalie list for the 2026 season on Aug, 16, is 55 games away from his 300th. Last season, Swayman played in 55 games, which would put him right at the number needed for 400. With bigger breaks between games this season, a healthy season will lead to at least 55 starts.
Honorable mention: Pavel Zacha 100 goals with Bruins
The two names above are homegrown players for the Bruins, but since being acquired from the New Jersey Devils in the summer of 2022, Zacha has been a key player for Boston. He enters the final season of his contract with the Black and Gold 14 goals shy of 100 for his time with the Black and Gold. If he sticks all season long, he should reach that. If he is traded, then all bets are off.
