i have been down here in the DC area and they (the Caps) play on the reputation of the Bid Bad Bruins, something I wish the B’s were playing like. The B’s are at their best when they take their play to the ice, not waiting to be hit. I’m not sure if the recent rash of trash we have seen in the other series has put the B’s on alert, but they look as if they are just too timid.

Well while I would agree that Thomas has let in some softies, 6 goals in over 200 minutes is not all that bad. Yes, they will have to continue to get great goaltending, but if Timmy gives up one or two goals in a game, I still think the Bruins win the majority of them. I think the much bigger issue is if we can sustain scoring in particular lines 1 and 2. The Caps have really been pretty clean, like the Bruins, between the whistles but physical. They got a bit out of hand last night, but I really only had an issue with the crosscheck to Peverleys head. We will have to wait and see about further discipline. Thanks for the post!

Thomas is lookimg human and doesn’t appear to be superman like last year (no one could). That being said the B’s better elevate their game to claim another cup. Bad breaks are one thing but defensive blunders will keep us home way before the finals.The NHL is really inconsistent on how they are handleing the playoff punishements and is hard to figure if they will address the Cap’s or not.
