For the first time this year, the Boston Bruins had everyone partake in practice. Five Forward Lines and Four Defensive Pairings made it a bit crowded at the Warrior Ice Arena, but there are no complaints about that.

The Boston Bruins returned to practice Monday after a well deserved day off following the teams’ 3-1 victory Saturday Night over the New York Islanders at the TD Garden.

It was a crowded scene at practice as for the first time all season, the entire roster as it was drawn up by Don Sweeney & Co. partook in drills and scrimmages throughout the morning.

Adam McQuaid (leg), Ryan Spooner (lower body) and Noel Acciari (undisclosed) were the players originally in question.  But all three were full participants and did not suffer any setbacks.

For McQuaid, Monday was his first full practice since suffering a broken leg nearly two months ago. He spoke to the media after skating, repeating that he’s “not quite ready” and will take some time getting used to contact on injured leg.

More from Causeway Crowd

Bruce Cassidy followed up on his defensman’s remarks in his press conference, saying that he has “a ways to go” and he doesn’t want to speculate on a return date.

Spooner, who appears to have re-aggravated a groin injury from earlier in the year has been labeled “day to day” by Cassidy, and the coaching staff will have a better idea on his status Wednesday.

Acciari was a late scratch Saturday evening before the Islanders game, due to an apparent minor injury that he has been playing through for a few games now. He showed up for the pregame skate but did not feel he would be able to play, and the coaching staff wanted him to have 3-4 days of rest.

Peter Cehalrik (lower body) also skated Monday morning, albeit about 45 minutes before the rest of the team took the ice, no comment was made regarding his status.

Busy Week Ahead

On Wednesday, the Bruins have the first of back-to-back games and the first of three games in four nights when they travel to Detroit to take on the Red Wings. The Washington Capitals come to town Thursday, followed by the New York Rangers on Saturday.

No announcement regarding the starting goaltender yet but the plan is to have Tuukka Rask and Anton Khudobin each play one of the back-to-back contests and go from there.
