The Boston Bruins take on the Detroit Red Wings in preseason game two tonight. There are plenty of things to focus on with a new lineup tonight.

After dropping game one of their preseason schedule to the Columbus Blue Jackets, The Boston Bruins look to regroup and come out with a win against their Atlantic Division foes, the Detroit Red Wings. Here are their lines in this morning’s AM skate:

Forwards

Beleskey-Spooner-Mueller

Gabrielle-Moore-Ferlin

Blidh-Acciari-Hickman

Kuraly-Czarnik-Senyshyn

Defense

Lines were not tweeted out by the Boston Bruins twitter account, but here are the defensemen from HockeyBuzz’s Ty Anderson (@_TyAnderson)

Arnesson, Casto, Grzelcyk, Lauzon, McQuaid, C. Miller.

Goalies

Subban

Vladar

Pretty decent looking roster and lines, with the only returning faces from game one being Sean Kuraly, Austin Czarnik, and Peter Mueller. Austin Czarnik stood out to me the other night, I am looking forward to seeing if he can create and magic with skilled guys like Kuraly and Senyshyn. Now here are some things to watch for tonight.

Dominic Moore’s first game in Black and Gold

One of the Bruins free agent additions in the latter end of the summer makes his debut tonight, Dominic Moore. Moore is a veteran center who will likely occupy the fourth-line center position with the B’s. Moore is known for his faceoff prowess and defensive skills, not his offense, hence why he is a fourth liner. Not to mention he is a Harvard Crimson alumni. If things stay the same, he will be playing with two tough customers in Jesse Gabrielle and Brian Ferlin.

Big opportunity for Malcolm Subban

More from Bruins News

Malcolm Subban will see the ice tonight as a contract year for the former first-rounder approaches. Who knows if Anton Khudobin’s backup spot is guaranteed if one of the younger guys impresses. Subban will look to change his luck and win the backup spot as the possibility is there that the Boston Bruins let him walk in free agency come next summer.

The one NHL chance was against the Western Conference powerhouse St. Louis Blues, and he got lit up. To be specific, he finished the game with a 5.81 GAA and a .500 save percentage. To be fair, he was put in a very tough position, when he could have played against the much less daunting Edmonton Oilers the night before. If he doesn’t win the job, Subban will spend see his third season as a Providence Bruin.

Zachary Senyshyn returns

After battling mononucleosis and appendicitis over the summer and missing the 2016 Boston Bruins rookie camp, Senyshyn will see the ice tonight. The offensive skills he displayed with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds this past season have Bruins fans very excited, and with good reason. Senyshyn tallied 45 goals and 65 points in 66 games with the Greyhounds this past year after seeing much skepticism from NHL fans when he was taken so early in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He gets to play with two skilled guys in Sean Kuraly and Austin Czarnik, hopefully, he can provide some fireworks.

Let’s hope the Bruins don’t end up 0-2 to start the preseason at the conclusion of tonight’s game. They’ve certainly got a lineup that can win with a good combination of guys with different skills. Who will stand out tonight?
