Boston Bruins Headed To China
The Boston Bruins like to set trends. They’ve been at the forefront of several big things in the history of the National Hockey League. The Black and Gold have decided to go where no other NHL team has gone before; to the People’s Republic of China.
Last year the Boston Bruins signed a partnership agreement with O.R.G. Packaging. They even invited a few dozen kids over from China to see the Black and Gold play at the TD Garden. This time around, the Bruins will be heading to China to spread hockey to the world’s most populated country.

The Bruins will be sending forwards Matt Beleskey and David Pastrnak along with Bruins Alumni Andrew Raycroft and Bob Sweeney. The Bruins will also be sending part of their Youth Hockey Development Team. There the Bruins will be hosting several hockey clinics to showcase the sport to the children of China. The Bruins will be holding this events in Beijing(the capital) and Shanghai.
This is a great opportunity to spread hockey around the world. While the Bruins will be working on their excursion, they will take time out during their trip to visit some of China’s most important historical and cultural landmarks.

Mr. Jacobs Chinese counterpart is eager for this partnership to flourish. O.R.G. Packaging Chairman Zhou Yunjie shared his thoughts as well at the press conference. “O.R.G. Packaging and the Boston Bruins are building a bridge between Chinese and American hockey. We are excited and honored to build on this partnership, and eagerly look forward to doing more in the near future to grow the sport of hockey in China.”
