The Boston Bruins have never been known as a young, fast or overly-energetic team. Instead, they pride themselves on being big, tough and all-around productive. Rarely do you see one standout scorer on the roster that gains most of the points. Instead, the Bruins have developed a well-rounded team that sees many players with a good amount of points. In the past, this has worked out well for the Bruins. However, with many of the other teams adding speed and young skill, the B’s have found it hard to keep up.

Enter the young players – and you have a team that is on their way up. Introducing a few players from Providence and securing a very important rookie contract has helped the Bruins find a new step in their game. Relying solely on the young players is not the route that they want to take, but having the backup support has  given them the extra speed on the ice and provided a much needed boost in energy.
