Tonight the Boston Bruins look to end the 2014 calendar year with a bang and put the abysmal month of December behind them.  They are taking on the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Garden, a team that has given them a run for their money this season after a complete blowout in the first meeting, followed up by an all-around shutdown in November. At the drop of the puck the Leafs stand just 2 points ahead of the Boston Bruins in the standings and have lost five of their last six meetings through the month of December.

Warm-ups

During the pre-game warm-ups both Milan Lucic and Patrice Bergeron were re-inserted for the Bruins. Lucic is back alongside Seth Griffith and David Krejci. Craig Cunningham was placed alongside Daniel Paille and Gregory Campbell, while Bergeron reclaimed his spot between Smith and Marchand.

Tuukka Rask led the Bruins out onto the ice, indicating his start in goal. As an all-time record Rask holds a 10-3-0 record against the Leafs and a 1.85 GAA and .937 save percentage. Jonathan Bernier gets the nod in net for the Leafs, who has a 1-1-0 career record against the Bruins and a 2.88 GAA and .902 save percentage.

Fun Fact: Loui Eriksson is playing in his 600th career NHL game tonight. Eriksson is currently on a hot streak with 4 goals, 4 assists and a +6 rating.
