The Boston Bruins are going to start the process of the 2014-15 season by taking a look at the Bruins future. The B’s will be hosting their seventh annual development camp next week. This years’ development camp roster will have twenty three players. The breakdown of the players has thirteen forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders in this year’s group.  Of the twenty three players attending the camp, sixteen of them are already within the Bruins organization. The other seven received invites from the organization to participate. (It will be a great way for them to get noticed and maybe even earn a slot in the Providence Bruins or better.) Four of the five draft picks in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft will be attending as well.

BOSTON BRUINS SEVENTH ANNUAL DEVELOPMENT CAMP ROSTER AS OF JULY 3, 2014

Forwards: Cole Bardreau, Kyle Baun , Michael Doherty, Anders Bjork, Anton Blidh, Peter Cehlarik, Mitchell Dempsey, Ryan Donato, Ryan Fitzgerald, Alex Globke, Colton Hargrove, Simon Norberg, David Pastrnak.

Defensemen: Linus Arnesson, Matt Benning, Matt Grzelcyk, Emil Johansson, Rob O’ Gara, Wiley Sherman, Billy Sweezey, Oleg Yevenko.

Goaltenders: Zane Gothberg, Malcolm Subban.

Some of these players have been drafted over the last few seasons and are still playing in their college teams or in the juniors in Canada. Several of these players have put in a season’s worth of experience at the AHL level.  The Bruins will take these players through several days of coaching to see where their skill sets have progressed and who among them could be ready for an invite for training camp in September.
