The say the Bruins love that dirty water. I don’t know what’s been in the water these last three games, but I’ve heard rumors of A-Rod trying to score a gallon of it. In truth, that water must be filthy, bordering on the radioactive. The Bruins put up a six pack for their third straight game, silencing the Florida Panthers and handily defeating Tim Thomas by a score of 6-2. Here’s how the Boston Bruins reacted to the win. The Florida Panthers had their three game winning streak snapped in this rout. It was a rough night for a young Panthers team that saw way too much of Zdeno Chara and Milan Lucic, and not enough of their defensemen. Tim Thomas took a lot of fire and it didn’t get any easier for him throughout the night. Here’s what the Panthers had to say about the loss. (Florida Panthers)

Even in defeat, Tim Thomas still loves many of his former Bruins teammates. When Shawn Thornton scored a rather impressive goal, putting the game out of reach with a 502 lead, he still had a laugh about the goal with Thomas. It was the dirtiest of the goals of the evening, and a well earned one for Thornton. (CSNNE)

With Chris Kelly back in the lineup tonight after missing twenty two games after getting a broken leg from a Pascal Dupuis slash, the Bruins were going to have to make some moves. They chose to send Ryan Spooner back to Providence with defenseman Zach Trotman. It’s a necessary evil due to the roster, and we covered it here for you. (Causeway Crowd). Sadly, we knew this was coming, (Causeway Crowd). The Jordan Caron experiment will have to linger on for the rest of the season.

The New York Islanders, fresh off their own drubbing via the Bruins were focusing on the Stadium Series. The Islanders are enjoying the ice, and are embracing this special game at Yankee Stadium. For John Tavares, it’s a ‘career memory’. (NHL)
