The Bruins have another decent gap in their scheduele. They won’t be playing again till Wednesday where they’ll have another back to back run. The folks over at Stanley Cup of Chowder give their recommendations on what games to watch. (Stanley Cup of Chowder)

The Buffalo Sabres are in trouble. John Scott is facing a lengthy suspension, Thomas Vanek got sent to the Islanders, and Patrick Kaleta has chosen not to challenge the ten game suspension. After the hit, I joked on Twitter that the league was ready to be done with players like Scott. Scott has found a most unusual supporter in his defense. Don Cherry, a former Bruins coach rose to his defense on Hockey Night in Canada. “Now here’s a story,” offered Cherry on HNIC. “He sits there for fifty five minutes. He’s put on the ice. He’s got to do something. He’s got to do something or he’s going to be gone. … It’s so unfair.” (Edmonton Journal)
