Well, someone was happy that Milan Lucic took a puck to the face, Ryan Miller‘s wife , Noureen DeWulf decided to tweet after Lucic’s injury in the Bruins-Sabres game. I suppose it was karma, her husband was a sieve in a solid 5-2 win over Buffalo. (Toronto Sun)

Speaking of karma, John Scott‘s punishment for his hit on Loui Eriksson will be decided on Halloween, according to the NHL. Scott does not qualify as a repeat offender under the collective bargaining agreement, but his history and his status could likely weigh heavy against him. (The Sports Xchange).

On the matter and severity of that hit, Loui Eriksson status is still considered to be “out indefinitely”. The severity of his concussion will factor heavily into Scott’s final punishment. (Boston Globe)

While we’re on the subject of the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres took on the Florida Panthers in what can only be described as the “battle of the battered”. The Sabres were able to pull out a win against Florida, and can now finally say that they have more points than a square. (Puck Daddy)

Bobby Robins has been taken off IR status for the purpose of being placed on waivers before being assigned to Providence. Robins made a strong case for himself getting on the Bruins roster this year before an injury in the preseason dashed that plan. (Boston Bruins)

Wrapping it up, the Bruins take on the New Jersey Devils at home tonight. The Devils have been one of those struggling teams, and it looks as if Martin Brodeur has allowed the torch to be passed to Cory Schneider.
