Now that Krejci is wearing the ‘A’, the guys at over at Bleacher Report take a look at Krejci, Coach Claude Julien and give their opinion on the new alternate captain’s abilities in the new job description. They think it’s a great idea (and so do most of us). Check out their article at (Bleacher Report).

Those same folks at Bleacher Report rated all the NHL Stadiums for their atmosphere, and the Boston Bruins’ TD Garden landed in the Top Five.  I’ve been to a few of the top ten, and while I am disappointed in their choice for number one, it is an impressive stadium. Check out their top ten picks at Bleacher Report Stadiums.

Comcast Sports takes a look at the newly minted head coach for the Philadelphia Flyers, Craig Berube.  Michael Barkann interviews Flyers’ owner and chairman Ed Snider. The conversation starts out very cordial, but it gets pretty snippy pretty quickly.  Watch Snider defend his actions (of the earliest firing of a head coach in the history of the NHL), and the actions of his subordinates. (CSPhilly)

On the subject of long drawn out disasters, the new owners of the Phoenix Coyotes are ready to hunker down and make a serious run at the playoffs. (No, I’m serious.) The Coyotes ownership are among the wealthiest of the owners club, and are committed to dragging the former laughingstock of the NHL out of the gutter and make them a contender for the post season. Here’s a breakdown on what the Coyotes have done, where they need to go, and what they have to do. (Yahoo Sports)

On a funny note, Shawn Thornton (Bruins enforcer extraordinaire) filmed a commercial recently for Pure Hockey. It follows in the tradition of Brad Marchand’s “You got a big dome, eh?: tradition of playing to the player’s strength. While it will never win an Emmy, it’s worth a laugh and a share. I also found this one from a few years ago. It’s Thornton ‘helping’ out a customer at Pride Cars. (If you’re a native Rhode Islander, you know the company as ‘Pwide Cows’. If you’re not, don’t ask. It will take way to long to explain.)

While Shawn Thornton’s acting may never make his career highlight reel, we know this shot
