The Boston Bruins have announced their pre-season schedule for the 2013-14 season today. For all of you who have been dying to see hockey return I have good news. Their exhibition season starts exactly sixty days from today. Two months. We’ve been patient, we’ve been hungry, and we’re ready to see the Cup back in Boston. If we’re pumped to the nines, I can only guess how the team is.

The B’s rookie camp will open up first on  September 3rd. The Black and Gold’s new blood will eventually head south. The Bruins newbies will be part of a rookie tournament that will begin on September 6th (my birthday) in Coral Springs, Florida.

The Bruins will open their training camp on September 11th. We’ll get to see how the offseason treated the Black and Gold, and we’ll get our first taste of Juni Eriksson in a Bruins jersey.

Their first preseason game is an away one, it will be played September 16th in Montreal. Of all the teams in the league to cut your teeth on, the Habs are probably the best choice for us. We’ll get to see the new lines in action, and we’ll finally see if the Canadiens listened to my suggestion and installed a springboard off the home bench in order to help improve the difficulty factor of the diving. (Jump in while the ice is wet PK!)

The Bruins first home game of the preseason will be played September 19th at TD Garden.  Their opponents will be the Detroit Red Wings.

See the exhibition games schedule below.

September 16th – Bruins vs Montreal Canadiens

September 17th – Bruins vs Washington Capitals (game being played in Baltimore, Maryland)

September 19th – Bruins at home vs Detroit Red Wings

September 21st – Bruins vs Detroit Red Wings

September 23rd – Bruins at home vs Washington Capitals

September 26th – Bruins vs Winnipeg Jets

September 27th – Bruins vs Winnipeg Jets (game being played in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan)

Sixty days hockey fans! In two months we get to watch our favorite team take the ice(and get completely ignored by ESPN).
