Puck movement would dictate the flow of this game and boy did the B’s have it.  Straight out of the gate they were cycling, winning small battles, and making the high slot their own.  This game had terrific ebb and flow, the B’s just made bigger waves when they crashed.  Tuukka Rask made some huge saves to back up a great team defensive effort.  Meanwhile Tyler Seguin continues to impress with his puck control and playmaking presence.   Special teams wise, the penalty kill remains tops in the league, while the powerplay was a different story, back to it’s old tricks… or lack thereof.  Save from a few sporadic chances, Boston had difficulty setting anything up and spent far too much time outside of the offensive end.  The Isles gave them plenty of chances.  Evgeni Nabokov also stood on his head the entire game, this really could have gotten out of hand.  Jack and Brick mentioned the triangle allot during the broadcast… they really found ways to exploit the Islanders with puck movement in this set-up.  It’s something we should see more of down the road.  Brad Marchand notched his team leading 10th goal.. great to see the kind of net presence he has this season.  At times, we may have been given a sneak peak at Bruins playoff level hockey, firing on all cylinders.
